Are you feeling sluggish? or perhaps you feel drained and need a natural energy boost?

These are normally the two excuse we use to dive for a bar of chocolate or a pick me up drink high in sugar thinking we will feel better but in fact, we don’t if anything we feel worse or guilty. Citrus fruits are a great source of Vitamin C and contain compounds called flavonoids which are antioxidants. Since citrus fruits have some many nutrients in them there is no reason not to include them in your green tea.

Ingredients –
  • 1 Slice of lime
  • 1 Slice of lemon
  • 1 Slice of orange
  • Green tea
  • Basil

First, make a glass of green tea, it is down to you if you would like a hot or cold green tea. Whilst it is brewing chop up the citrus fruits. Once the tea has brewed add the citrus fruits and the right amount of basil for you.
