Life at Flubit from behind the books…

Flubit Life: So we are live, and we are kicking. Lots of people getting great offers on their demands. And our Queen of Transactions Carla gives us her latest insight into life a flubit:

So, a lot has happened since my last post, a lot of planning, testing and re-testing and the sort. Everyone’s been running around busy, busy, and busy for the Beta launch and the “real live” launch.

My job hasn’t really changed that much, though. Not yet, at least. I’ve been trying to make sure we are up to date with all the accounting stuff (the boring bits you don’t want to know about) just so we don’t fall behind when we finally get swamped with demands.

I’m reaaaaaally looking forward to it. I’m looking forward to being busy, busy, busy inundated with lots and lots of completed demands and offers to record on our accounting system. You have to keep track of the dosh coming in, you know.

What else can I tell you?
Oh yes, I bought a nice pair of shoes last week. I was looking for shoes (I like my shoes) and found ones I liked so I copied the URL into my flubit demand page and voila! Within no time at all I got a much better offer so I bought them straight away. Easy.

Let me tell you a little bit about the relationship between demand and price, in economics terms.

When the price of a good rises, the quantity demanded will fall. Similarly, when the price of a good falls, the quantity demanded will rise.

Without flubit, I’m just a price taker. If I see a product I like I have to buy it at the price it’s being offered to me. But, because I know about flubit, I was able to demand a better offer.

I can tell you that with the offer I got for my shoes my purchasing power shot up. I could have bought two pairs of shoes if I wanted, giving me more for my money – the income effect of a price change (a price reduction in this case). I was willing to pay just over £20.00 for those shoes and got them for £11.99, which is a huge saving.

I’ve also lost out on an offer because I didn’t get to it and on time. Thought I’d mention it because offers are time sensitive, and I’ll be making sure I’m grabbing them straight away in future.

Anyway, what I’d like is for everyone to start using Flubit so I can start complaining for having too much work. That’d be cool.

Well. Not sure what else I can tell you, so, till next time…

Keep it flubit
